Four of Poker’s Great Pros
Beyond a doubt millions of people want to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "charming players" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is connected with their names when you are facing them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have put you out of the competition!
Daniel Negreanu
In Two Thousand and Four, his competition payouts amounted to in the region of four and a half million dollars and he won 2 highly admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In Feb 2006 he was appointed Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel even still has the decency to talk with his admirers about how they could boost their own game.
Howard Lederer
Referred to as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His accomplishments have lead to him making an educational video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty is 1 of the most active players in professional poker and between Two Thousand and Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in more than 100 competitions. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad defeat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time winnings are almost $6 million.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has captured five World Series of Poker titles with two of his wins coming in 2003. Chris has the nickname "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, and is able to toss playing cards quick enough to cut through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total poker tourney earnings exceeded $5 million.
