Caribbean Poker Rules and Tips

[ English ]

Online poker has become globally famous lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer declares "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you have to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your original ante, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet comes the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, with an amount equal to the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pays chips equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
