Omaha Hi-Low: Fundamental Outline
Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha/8 or better) is often times seen as one of the most complex but well-loved poker games. It is a game that, even more than regular Omaha poker, aims for action from all levels of players. This is the chief reason why a once obscure variation, has increased in popularity so quickly.
Omaha 8 or better starts exactly like a regular game of Omaha. 4 cards are given out to every player. A sequence of wagering follows in which players can wager, check, or drop out. Three cards are handed out, this is known as the flop. Another sequence of betting happens. After all the players have either called or folded, another card is revealed on the turn. a further round of betting follows and then the river card is revealed. The gamblers will need to make the best high and low five card hands based on the board and hole cards.
This is where some entrants can get baffled.
